Design Koen van Guijze for Serax

Designer Koen Van Guijze prefers “authentic” materials such as steel, brass, concrete, cork, ceramic, sand and paper. His style is a mixture of brutalism and sophisticated details. Or as he says himself: “There is poetry in everything I draw”.
Wall lamp Sofisticato no.20 is made entirely of blue steel, which acquires a beautiful patina over time. The base and light tube are made by hand. Only to be used indoors.
