Design Koen van Guijze for Serax

Designer Koen Van Guijze prefers “authentic” materials such as steel, brass, concrete, cork, ceramic, sand and paper. His style is a mixture of brutalism and sophisticated details. Or as he says himself: “There is poetry in everything I draw”.
Ceiling lamp Sofisticato no.1 and 5 are made entirely of blue steel, which acquires a beautiful patina over time. The round light tube is made by hand. Indoor use only.
