Baby Bluebird design Oiva Toikka
Oiva Toikka is one of the greatest names in Finnish design. His iconic collection of Iittala glass birds first took flight in 1972 at the Nuutajärvi glass factory. Created in close collaboration with the glassblowers, the collection combined Toikka’s passion for nature and blown glass art. Each mouthblown bird is unique down to the minute detail. Handcrafted and mouthblown at the Iittala Glass Factory, the collection embodies a rich fusion of glassmaking traditions. Birds by Toikka Baby Bluebird is the life of the party in her translucent blue and white glass. Criss crossed lines down her body resemble feathers.
