Companion, five messengers by Bertil Vallien.
Throughout the centuries, people have surrounded themselves with objects that were believed to possess more power than ‘ordinary’ things. A rare stone, an elegant bone, a beautiful icon. Objects that are not only pleasing to the eye, but also form a kind of bond with their owners.
With the Companion collection, Bertil evokes a similar dynamic. The faces in varying colors with different messages; Yes. Hope. Love. Peace. Blues.
The small messengers can be hung on the wall where their presence is most needed.
The Companion objects are made from circular glass in the glass factory in Kosta, Sweden. Because the raw material varies in color, so do the tones of the finished objects. This gives each Companion a unique color DNA with every casting.
