Designer Maarten Baas created the Aligned outdoor chairs and stools with the same guiding principle as for every object he creates.
To create a fully functional design piece that looks as though it has been sketched by hand. In this way, he put a new spin on typical garden furniture with metal frames and wooden slats by first sketching the slats in pencil on paper and then meticulously bringing them to life. The result is quintessentially Maarten Baas: a design that looks as though it has been drawn by a child.
